The Pavilion in Bend is Central Oregon’s only full NHL-sized ice rink complete with a 200’ by 85’ ice sheet with a state-of-the-art system that ensures quality ice even in less than ideal weather. Complete with a roof and transparent side panels, you’ll get protection from the outside elements with an open-air feel. Not an NHL player or can’t even stand up on skates? No problem. The Pavilion not only rents ice skates, they also offer lessons, but be sure to sign up ahead of time. When you’re not giggling and gliding on ice, grab a warm beverage at the concession area, cozy up by the fire pit, and maybe catch some curling or a hockey game from the stands.

For a cozier experience, head to Seventh Mountain Resort. Their ice rink is nestled in the trees under a sky of sparkling stars, and you can twirl and spin while fueled by fresh mountain air. When it’s time to warm up, the concessions area offers hot chocolate and other treats. The resort is located on the way to Mt. Bachelor and just a few miles from downtown Bend off Century Drive.

The Village at Sunriver, located 15 miles south of Bend, offers a covered ice skating rink during the winter months. After spinning yourself silly, grab a cup of cocoa or a hot latte paired with some freshly baked donuts or pastries from the Hot Lava Baking Company

If you’re staying north of Bend, in Redmond or at Eagle Crest Resort, check out the ice skating rink in downtown Redmond, Oregon, located off of Evergreen Street. The cozy 4,000 square foot rink is open seven days a week during the winter months and even has free skating during specific hours if you bring your own skates.
