You don’t have to be a kid to love sledding and tubing in Bend, but we guarantee zipping down hills in a toboggan will fill you with the magic of childlike wonder. 

For a family-friendly place to catch some air and some giggles head to Wanoga Sno-Park located just off Century Drive southwest of Bend. Bring your flexible flyer, your saucer sled, or your snow tube and enjoy this accessible snow play that’s fun for all ages. Wanoga has an established sledding hill with plenty of parking available, a vault toilet, and it’s dog-friendly. A Sno-Park permit is required at Wanoga.

You can purchase your permit at the Bend Visitor Center in downtown Bend or at one of our outdoor retail shops. Don’t forget to be a good steward of Bend’s outdoor spaces by packing broken sleds home with you at the end of the day.

On days when white stuff piles up in town, you’ll find small family-friendly sledding spots in Drake Park and Hollinshead Park. Watch for smaller children, and put safety first anytime you hop in that saucer.

A short drive from Bend, thrill seekers will find some established sledding hills in Sunriver including the tubing hill at the SHARC. With a four-wheel-drive vehicle, you can explore a more remote location by traveling on Forest Service Road 9720, which is east of Highway 97 at the Sunriver exit.

If you’d rather not fuss with packing your own sled or hauling it up a hill, hit the Snowblast Tubing Park at Mt. Bachelor. Keep in mind that during the 2021-2022 winter season, the Snowblast Tubing Park will not be operating. A little further down the road is Autobahn Tubing Park at Hoodoo Ski Area located just 44 miles west of Bend. Be sure to check snow conditions and operating hours before you visit.
